I too live 5 minutes from a hospital, and you couldn't have said it more perfectly - "Just because I don’t choose to start out in one (because I think birth is normal and safe), doesn’t mean I’m going to stay home at all costs." This is an awesome post! I just met you, but I'm so proud of you and so excited to hear how awesome and successful and healing this birth is for you and your hubby.
